Blogging as a Teaching Tool

Blogging provides a chance to have asynchronous communication. As part of a blended learning system, virtual learning is part, not all, of our education system. It makes use of Web 2.0 tools that students use in their daily lives and tools that the workplace is using more and more.
Why not use blogs as webpages?
